As one who fervently believes you can never have too many medicinal mushrooms, I was anxious to try Agarikon - a mushroom species I was unfamiliar with. Each capsule provides 300mg of pure Agarikon, sourced through hot-water extraction. The recommended dosage is 4 capsules per day, making this a one-month's supply. But if you're like me, and also take other medicinal mushrooms like reishi, cordyceps, turkey tail, etc, I suggest taking half the recommended dose, which when combined with others, is sure to have a cumulative effect on your overall immunity. And bonus points to Longevity Botanicals for NOT adding ANY fillers whatsoever - I really wish more nootropic manufacturers would get with the program!

I'm suspicious of this product as I don't find the packaging particularly professional. The listing claims and uses the USDA organic seal, but the actual product doesn't. There is not much information on the label at all, no contact info, or location of manufacture. Just a smeared lot number and a best by date 3 months out from receiving. No shrink wrap on the cap, just a foam seal with a note stuck under the lid. Maybe it's fine, but to me it feels shady to claim its certified organic on the listing but not on the actual bottle plus no way to contact the company except through Amazon.

Hubby and I work a lot and don’t eat the way we would like to. I read up a lot about the power of these ancient mushrooms and their many benefits. I have a sensitive stomach and was a little afraid , the serving size are 4 vegan capsules a day. I took 2 in the morning with breakfast to start. No problem , no bloating , cramps , burps . They don’t have a wired smell or taste . The powder looks uniform . We all know how hard it is to rate supplements because we all react differently. So far I am happy with the quality , I have to trust that the company is honest and the powder is from the most potent part ( fruiting ) I will try to up the dosage to the recommended 4 capsules a day , always with or after food . I just wish that the powder could be packed into just 2 capsules., even if that would make the capsules bigger. They are “ normal “ size now and easy to swallow . I am hoping the antiviral benefits of this will strengthen our immune system and keep us healthier.

The seller's description of the product actually states "Look at your label....is your product the real deal?" and then the product I received doesn't look like the picture of the label on the product shown on the website. See pictures of the product I received. I received this product in January 2023 and the "best before" is 04/2023. So maybe the seller has updated the label since posting the product and this is the "older" batch of product? No where on this product did I find information on USDA organic ingredients, certified good manufacturing practice, country of origin, or laboratory testing to certify the ingredients. These are stated on the seller's link to the product but not on the actual label. Lastly there is a "sealed for your protection" top on the bottle that pretty much was useless as it was not sealed at all and the foam "sealed" top can easily be put back on and taken off with no protection of the contents - the bottle was also not wrapped in cellophane. So I'm not confident this product was not tampered with. There is a nice note that was included in the bottle top to contact the seller via the Amazon "contact the sleep" option (this note caused this product to arrive with the top popped open). There is no contact address or phone number on the product.

This agarikon supplement is an extract from the fruiting body. The dose is 4 capsules per day making this 120 capsule bottle one month’s supply.

These capsules have so many potential health benefits. I just got this on Thursday and I'm now looking at the expiration date and it says best before January 23 so that concerns me a little bit because I'm very finicky when it comes to expiration dates. They suggested serving size is for capsules a day which is a lot for me I do not like taking pills but I'm all for trying something out if it's going to give benefits.. they are a normal capsule size to me. Only reason I gave this a war rating of stars is because of the expiration date they don't have a bad taste at all easy to swallow. Comes in a nice size bottle.
